Spanish II: For the month of October we will be working on a project: FIESTA INTERNACIONAL
- Students will be given class time to put together a PowerPoint, a video advertisement, a recipe and conversation scrips.
- All of these items will be presented from November 1st to the 3rd.
- Students have received a paper with expectations and requirements; on Monday they will be receiving a copy of the rubrics for speaking and for PowerPoint.
- This coming Thursday, students want to celebrate the September and October birthdays. Some classes have started planning for it. During the celebration students will be required to speak mostly, if not only, Spanish.
Participation: There has been a change in this area of grading.
- Since majority of the students were not submitting their weekly questions completed or at all and this was severely hurting their grade, it is no longer required of them.
- In place of the questions, students are now expected to present two conversations per week (within the first 15 minutes of class). The covenversations must be 5 lines per students and must include the vocabulary and grammar studied for that chapter.
SPANISH I
For Spanish I students the participation (weekly) Questions is still required. Last Thursday students were required to write down the expectations and requirements. This is one area that greatly impacted student grades; but as long as students continue to submit the questions completed and on time their grade and spanish speaking skills will improve.
We are starting the next chapter and we will be focusing on the verbs: SER, ESTAR, TENER, and GUSTAR.
There will also be StudySpanish.com homework assigned on Monday and the last day to submit will be Sunday, Oct 17 befor 9 pm
